On May 2nd, we teamed up a group of 47 people including cooking teachers, college students, and people working for food-related businesses to carry out first support action for evacuees of the TOHOKU earthquake disaster.

We visited one of the shelters in Fukushima prefecture.  About 150 evacuees are living together in the spot.  Upon their requests, we and cooking teachers cooked and served “Kaisen-don(Fresh fish and steamed rice bowl)” for them.  In addition, we also had a cooking lesson by Mathew South (hosts English & cooking lessons in Kanagawa prefecture) with them.
